Here are a couple tracks I made over the summer:
A snippet of a remix of Mos Def’s Ms Fat Booty. Sampled John Frusciante’s Ramparts.
Remix of Lupe’s Kick, Push. Sampled John Mayer’s Slow Dancing in a Burning Room.

I love to see designers step out of their boundaries, for example: Audi Design designing this beautiful piano. The piano, entitled Wing, was built by Vienna-based Bosendorfer. The sleek form and lines are not surprisingly reminiscent of a car. More pictures and info can be found at autoevolution.
First good album of the summer.
Finally got a midi controller, stick around for some Team Stephen mixtapes…
Today, Clipse released the first single from their highly anticipated album, Til The Casket Drops. The track was produced by DJ Khalil, but the album will also feature songs produced by Kanye, Justice, Rick Rubin, and of course The Neptunes. As you can see, the single’s artwork was done by Kaws.

The line-up for this year’s Rock The Bells was announced a few days ago. I’m currently contemplating whether or not to go.
Pros:
- Nas
- The Roots !!!
- Common !!!
- Chali 2na
- Murs
- Reflection Eternal (never actually heard them, but its pretty much Black Star minus Mos Def)
Cons:
- expensive
- san bernardino heat
This album is the most interesting thing I’ve heard in months. N.A.S.A.’s music would be categorized as hip hop, but you wouldn’t know it judging by who is featured in the album. The duo of DJ-producers, which consists of Squeak E. Clean and DJ Zegon, pits together artists from different genres and eras (see list [...]
If there’s one kind of cover I like best, it’s a hip hop cover performed by a non-hip-hop artist. This one’s just too cute. Lykke Li is hustlin’ everyday.
I was taking notes while listening to this album; I didn’t originally plan on posting them, but I figured they might help the review (the numbers correspond to tracks):
1 good
2 dancey
3 catchy
4 boring
5 good
6 good/catchy
7 meh
8 maroon 5ish?
9 boring
10 boring, sounds like an outro song
As you can see, the new album from the Yeah Yeah [...]
